A few days ago, 78 students at Trier University received their Deutschlandstipendium scholarship certificates.
The two scholarship holders sponsored by moccamedia, Jasmin Fasel and Ahmed Ayad, were also presented with their certificates by University President Prof. Dr. Eva Martha Eckkrammer.
Jasmin is working towards a master’s degree in Financial Management, and Ahmed is enrolled in the master’s programme in Economics at Trier University.
The students each receive funding of 300 euros per month for one year. Half of the amount is provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the other half by the sponsoring companies and foundations.
The scholarship holders were selected from a large number of applications in Trier. In addition to academic achievement at school and university, the selection criteria include social commitment and special personal or family circumstances.
With the Deutschlandstipendium, the German federal government has been supporting talented and high-achieving students since 2011.
Christina Mader (HR Manager) attended the award ceremony on behalf of moccamedia and got to know “our” two scholarship holders better.
